USED VEHICLE SALES MANAGER The largest Ford/Lincoln dealer in Kentuckiana, Bill Collins Auto Group, has an immediate opening for qualified UC Manager. The new manager will be only the third UC Manager in the last four decades! Summary: The UC Manager ensures customer retention, market expansion, and profitability of the Used Vehicle department by recruiting qualified sales personnel, overseeing reconditioning and merchandising of the used vehicle inventory and appraising incoming trade-ins as well as utilizing other modes of vehicle acquisition.

Responsibilities

- Monthly and annual forecasts of sales volume, gross profit and expenses
- Hire, train, motivate, monitor and schedule sales personnel
- Work closely with New Vehicle Sales and Finance departments to maximize closing deals
- Delegate to Assistant Managers as appropriate
- Utilize multiple advertising media to promote dealership, brands, inventory and special events
- Conduct weekly sales team meetings emphasizing product knowledge, time management and/or motivation
- Oversee wholesale activities both buying and selling
- Oversee use of outside vendors while maximizing work performed internally
- Be a role model and maintain a positive work environment based on mutual respect
- Maintain valid driver's license
Requirements
- Successful candidate should have prior automotive management experience demonstrating sales growth and progressive actions based on a dynamic market, embracing technological advances in auto industry and cost-efficient utilization of expenses while adhering to federal, state and local regulations.
- The desired candidate will also possesses strong communication skills, basic computer skills, financial competence and is team oriented. Ideally, he/she has a history of supporting and fostering sales consultants’ progression into management.
