Job Description

Oversee all dealership accounting and financial operations

Benefits

• Pay starting at $90,000 - $110,000 per year depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee all dealership accounting and financial operations
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor cash flow and overall financial health of the dealership
• Coordinate audits and maintain accuracy of financial records
• Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations
• Provide strong leadership, train and support accounting office staff, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in daily operations
• Identify expense fluctuations and analyze for cost savings
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize based on impact to dealership
• Develop strong professional relationships with GM and department managers
• Monitor and complete month end close process within 3 business day deadline
• Report insurance claims and monitor claim status

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an Accounting office leader (Controller, Manager, Director)
• Dealership experience preferred, but not required (automotive, RV, marine, or powersports considered)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and dealership financial operations
• CDK experience preferred
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Valid driver's license
• Candidate must pass pre-employment screening
• Accounting degree or 5+ years of experience in financial statement preparation role
