Job Description
Count, weigh, or measure items in incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records Determine method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates and more.

Responsibilities
- Count, weigh, or measure items in incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records
- Determine method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
- Ensure that outgoing shipments meet specifications
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Operate tier-lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area
- Direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments
- Receive unsold products returned by Parts Driver and damaged or defective goods returned to establishment and be designated Returned Goods
- Responsible for processing warranty returns and parts invoices
- In charge of freight claims and damages
Requirements
- 1+ years of Shipping and Receiving experience preferred
- 1+ years of Warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Ability to use Parts Department computer system, calculator, motor vehicle, and tier-shift and hand trucks
- Ability to use mechanical tools such as crimpers, pliers, wrenches, and tape measure
- Must be able to stand 6 – 8 hours and be able to lift/transport parts weighing up to 70 lbs
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
