Responsibilities

  • Manage an efficient automotive Service Department, schedule appointments, provide estimates and quotes, ensure all service work is completed correctly in a timely manner, and more.
  • Greet customers and ascertain their needs.
  • Provide customers with information on services and products.
  • Perform basic vehicle inspections and document findings.
  • Schedule service appointments and coordinate with technicians.
  • Explain services and repairs to customers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Provide cost estimates for services and repairs.
  • Ensure maintenance and repairs are performed correctly
  • Maintain customer records and update customer information in the database.
  • Hire and manage automotive technicians, service advisors, and support personnel
  • Oversee employee training and development
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance and increase customer loyalty 
  • Set and obtain sales objectives and control costs
  • Ensure proper equipment maintenance and a safe working environment

Requirements

  • Automotive service management experience is required. Chevrolet experience is a plus!
  • Excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge of automotive repair/ maintenance and dealership flow, and takes pride in satisfied customers.
  • Good leadership and management skills
  • Good customer service and customer/employee retention skills
  • Goal oriented and self-motivated to succeed
