KIA of East Hartford needs to hire Service Dispatcher to plan, organize, lead and control the flow of service work through the our high-volume Service Department in a professional, timely manner while ensuring quality repairs at a fair cost to the customer. We value our employees and invest in their success! Organize and control the flow of service work through the service department in a professional, timely manner Work closely with the Service Manager daily to ensure processes are being followed by the team to maximize shop flow and profitability

Responsibilities

  • Organize and control the flow of service work through the service department in a professional, timely manner
  • Work closely with the Service Manager daily to ensure processes are being followed by the team to maximize shop flow and profitability
  • Implement and maintain an effective dispatch system
  • Schedule shop work to facilitate maximum productivity in accordance with dealership policy and the technician skill level required
  • Ensure proper repair order documentation, i.e., complaint, cause, and correction noted on every repair order with punch time for each operation
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date repair log
  • Prepare a list of needed service department equipment, supplies, and required repairs, and reviews it with the Service Manager as needed
  • Advise the Fixed Operation Manager of repetitive shortages so that corrective action can be taken
  • Ensure that Technicians follow warranty material disposition procedures
  • Understand, keep abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
  • Maintain a professional appearance for self and subordinates in accordance with company policy
  • Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Automotive Service Dispatcher, Service Advisor or Technician experience is required with a proven track record.
  • KIA experience preferred
  • Must be able to run dispatch at high-volume service department
  • Must be able to coordinate with Shop Foreman
  • Capable of working independently as well as in a team
  • Organized and friendly personality with good customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage others
  • Time management skills
  • High school or equivalent
