Job Description
Assistant Controller needed to assist with dealership's accounting functions, financial reporting, office staff management, and more. Oversee receivables and payables, reviews accounts/journal entries, ledgers, and works with the accounting staff to clear up any discrepancies

Responsibilities
- Assist with dealership's accounting functions, financial reporting, office staff management, and more.
- Oversees receivables and payables
- Title problems
- Reconciles bank accounts
- Post all car deals in the DMS system
- Post all incoming vehicle inventory
- Reviews accounts/journal entries, ledgers, and works with the accounting staff to clear up any discrepancies
- Assist in month end preparation and close
- Assist with payroll functions
- Cross trains accounting positions
- Assists in ensuring manufacturer accounts, including warranty claims, rebates, and more are current and accurate.
- Assists in maintaining an effective cash management system
- Assists in reviewing the reconciliation of general ledger accounts with outside sources to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payables, and floor plan payables.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable government finance regulations, including filing and/or maintaining required forms, payroll taxes and deposits, income taxes, retirement plan records, etc.
Requirements
- Accountant work history is required
- An automotive dealership background is preferred
- Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Microsoft office and payroll software proficient
- Good communications skills
- The highest integrity and professionalism are essential for consideration.
