Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Procurement: Purchase or lease vehicles based on company needs. Growing businesses often require more fleet units to meet increasing demand and ensure efficient operations. As markets expand, the need for reliable transportation solutions becomes critical, driving exponential growth in fleet orders to support logistics and service delivery.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Schedule and manage regular maintenance and repairs.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Driver Training: Implement safety training programs for drivers.
  • Routing and Dispatching: Create efficient schedules and routes for drivers.
  • Safety Standards: Promote and enforce safety protocols within the fleet.
  • Budgeting: Develop and manage the fleet maintenance budget.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and optimize operational costs, including fuel and maintenance expenses.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, or business administration is required
  • Several years of experience in fleet management or a related field is required.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.                         
  • Organizational Skills: Strong skills in managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing data to improve fleet efficiency and reduce costs.
