Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and provide cost estimates for repairs, act as a liaison between customers, insurance companies, repair shops, and more.
- Examine damaged vehicles to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, and interior damage
- Evaluate whether parts should be repaired or replaced
- Estimate costs for labor, parts, and paint required for repairs
- Prepare detailed reports for insurance claims and customer communication
- Discuss repair options and costs with customers and insurance adjusters
- Negotiate repair costs when necessary
Requirements
- Required: Auto Body Shop Estimator experience
- Proficiency in math and computer software for cost calculations
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with insurance processes and repair standards
