One Saturday every 4th Week We are booked out, so plenty of work, we need your expertise!  We have one other Transmission Tech - a full schedule keeps you busy and gets you paid - plenty of work! Multiple shifts available!

Job Intro

Transmission Experience is Required, but Ford Training is not Required We have more work than we can finish, we need you NOW! We like to make Great Hires who turn into Future Retires! Rich Ford needs to hire an experienced Automatic Transmission Specialist / Technician / Mechanic that has a primary role to rebuild and replace automatic transmissions. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of tearing down and rebuilding of automatic transmissions.  Rich Ford is in the top 50 dealerships in the nation, and the go-to spot for new vehicles, great service, and more in the Albuquerque area. Job Description

Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately. Must have a complete understanding of removing, replacing, and rebuilding transmissions.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Must have a complete understanding of removing, replacing, and rebuilding transmissions.
  • Inspect vehicle computers and electronic systems to repair, maintain, and upgrade.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles.
  • Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise customers on accurate vehicle use.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
  • Document work performed.
  • Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician.

Requirements

  • Automotive repair experience required
  • No Ford training required
  • Must be versatile in skills and tasks performed
  • Must understand the process of removing, replacing, and rebuilding transmissions.
  • Must be analytical with good problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • High school diploma or GED
