Job Intro

A & H Metals, Inc. is hiring an experienced Sheet Metal Laser Operator with a strong foundation in sheet metal fabrication. This role focuses primarily on operating and programming CNC laser cutting equipment, with additional responsibilities supporting layout and fabrication of custom sheet metal components for commercial and industrial projects. If you have hands-on experience running Trumpf or similar CNC laser systems and enjoy working in a modern, well-equipped shop, this is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career with a growing custom metals operation. Job Description

Set up, operate, and maintain CNC laser cutting machines (Trumpf experience preferred) Load programs, adjust parameters, and monitor cut quality and tolerances and more.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC laser cutting machines (Trumpf experience preferred)
  • Load programs, adjust parameters, and monitor cut quality and tolerances
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and CAD files
  • Perform material handling and staging for laser cutting operations
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
  • Assist with secondary fabrication operations including press brake forming, shearing, punching, and deburring
  • Communicate with Shop Manager and Project Coordinators regarding job status and potential issues
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Support overtime and production schedules as needed

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a CNC Laser Operator, Sheet Metal Laser Operator, or similar role
  • Familiarity with Trumpf laser systems strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
  • Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings
  • Experience with press brakes, punch presses, and other fabrication equipment a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check, MVR, and drug screening
